Challenges verbreiten sich im Internet oft unglaublich schnell, sind meist relativ absurd und zuweilen sogar gefährlich. Nicht so dieser neue Trend, der augenblicklich viral geht. Er nennt sich die «Matilda Challenge» und geht vor allem um eines: Spass zu haben.
Die Challenge geht auf eine Szene des Films «Matilda» aus dem Jahr 1996 zurück. Darin verzaubert die junge Hauptdarstellerin das Haus ihrer Eltern und lässt diverse Gegenstände mit Magie durch die Luft fliegen:
